An awareness programme under the “Nasha Mukt Jammu & Kashmir Abhiyan” was organized at the University of Kashmir, Kupwara Campus, with the objective of sensitizing young students about the harmful effects of drug abuse and promoting awareness regarding the importance of a healthy and drug-free society
The programme brought together students from eight neighbouring Higher Secondary Schools, providing them with a meaningful platform to express their views and creativity on the issue of drug abuse through literary and cultural activities. Students participated enthusiastically across four components: Short Play, Kashmiri Poetry, Song, and Speech.
The Program was graced by DySP Mubashir Niyaz, Kupwara as Chief Guest and Guest of Honour: Dr. Shibeer Ahmad Bhat, Assistant Controller Drugs
Prof. Mubashir Masoodi, Director, Kupwara Campus, and Convener of the programme, welcomed the guests and participants and addressed the gathering, briefly highlighting the history and development of the University of Kashmir, Kupwara Campus, and the academic programmes currently offered at the campus. The programme was coordinated with the support of the Co-Conveners, who contributed to its successful organization and conduct.
