Laboratory Facilities and Experiments in Energy Studies
The Department of Energy Studies provides undergraduate-level laboratory training through hands-on experimentation and practical learning. The existing laboratory equipments include:
Ostwald Viscometer
- Determination of the viscosity of liquids based on their flow time.
Stalagmometer
- Determination of the surface tension of liquids using the drop-counting method.
pH Meter
- Measurement of the pH of solutions to determine their acidic or alkaline nature.
Conductometer
- Measurement of the electrical conductivity of solutions for studying ionic properties.
Potentiometer
- Measurement of potential difference and EMF, including potentiometric titrations.
Colorimeter
- Determination of the concentration of colored solutions through light absorption measurements.
