Tariq A. Shah was born and brought up in Jammu and Kashmir, India. He obtained B.Sc. and M.Sc. from the University of Kashmir and Ph.D. from Aligarh Muslim University, (Professor M Muneer, 2017). Dr. Shah has qualified Joint UGC-CSIR-NET, GATE and is also recipient of UGC-BSR Fellow (JRF-SRF) and CSIR-SRF. He Completed his Postdoc as a National Postdoctoral Fellow (DST-SERB) with Professor T. Punniyamurthy at the Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati (2017–2020). Later he moved to Khalifa University Abu Dhabi for his second Postdoc (2022–2023). He served as a faculty at Aligarh Muslim University and at Department of Chemistry University of Kashmir. Dr. Shah has a cummulative teaching experince of more than seven years. Currently, he is serving as a permanenet faculty memeber in University of Kashmir, Kupwara Campus. Dr. Shah is an Organic Synthetic Chemist by training and his research interests are focused on sustaniable transition metal catalyzed CH functionalization, multichrmomphoric heterocyclic synthesis of biological importance, Natural Product Chemistry and in-vivo metal catalysed reactions.
